changing conditions

Well.  Thanks to my husband, I have a new look around here.  Hope you like it!  I do.  For a while now I have been admiring sites like this beautiful photography blog and my favorite place for recipes.  The simplicity and cleanness.  The greater emphasis on images.

This post back in December stirred something in me, when he says:

I can’t explain why exactly, but seeing things through the lens of a camera somehow shifted my thinking, got me out of a rut of some kind.

So, all of these things have been swirling in my mind.  Unfortunately, what also usually swirls in my mind are many things that are not conducive to action.  Doubt, indecision, voices that only I hear…  Fortunately, Bryan is not subject to the same type of semi-paralysis that often envelops me.  I mentioned my thoughts last night, and here we were today.  WARP SPEED, I’m telling you.

In the process I missed yesterday’s daily post, for those of you keeping score at home, but it could not be helped once the backing up and exporting and all the other stuff on the the We Are Changing Your Blog Over Right Now train had left the station.  So where were we?  Oh yes, spring break.  At this rate I will be posting about this trip longer than the trip itself lasted.

Gratuitous Photos of Very Cold People Hiding Out in the Lodge:

cuties by the fire

Well, very cold and very cute.

Here’s why they were hiding.  This is outside.  Note the glare off the window because I was so not going even one step outside the door in that…

brrr

But you know, other people did, in fact, go outside.  So they made sure they had the proper gear.

The really crazy thing was, it would snow all day like that on the mountain, and then we would drive home and out into bright sunshine.  In about 15 minutes.  The change was unbelievable.
